Can Claude do motion design?
Claude can design motion but cannot render it: it outputs text and code, not frames. Claude Video closes the gap. Claude decides the story, typography, timing, easing and transitions, and the Kinetik engine renders that direction frame by frame into a finished, editable MP4.

Can Claude replace a motion designer?
For SaaS launch films, product tours, social ads and release videos, Claude Video covers most of what a motion designer would deliver, in minutes. For one-of-a-kind brand films with bespoke illustration, a human motion designer is still the right call.
Does Claude generate the animation itself?
Claude writes the direction (scenes, copy, timing, transitions) as a structured storyboard. The Kinetik engine computes every frame from that storyboard. That split is why text stays crisp and edits are instant.
What does the output look like?
An MP4 in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1, up to 4K at 60 fps, with real motion blur, optional film grain and light leaks, and an original soundtrack.
Can I control the style?
